This 4 night itinerary with private transfers and hotel style accommodation gives you a brief look into the experience packed destination, with a cruise in the world famous Milford Sound, and a coach trip through Mount Cook finishing with time to spare in Christchurch.
Day 1: Arrive QueenstownKia Ora and welcome to New Zealand. On arrival to Queenstown you will be met by Limousine South and transferred to your hotel by private vehicle. Tourist Accommodation: Mercure Resort, Garden View Room, 3 nights
Day 2: Milford Sound ExcursionToday we will enjoy a full day tour to Milford Sound, in the Fiordland National Park. On arrival at Milford, a cruise on the fiord will take you to the Tasman Sea, allowing you to marvel at the size of this fiord, Mitre Peak and the Bowen Falls. A picnic lunch is included on board. In the afternoon, we return to Queenstown by coach, or you may prefer an optional scenic flight which will take you high over the mountains, glacial valleys, waterfalls, rainforest, coastline, rivers and lakes, before arriving back in Queenstown. Day 4: Queenstown/Mount Cook/ChristchurchTravel north from Queenstown via the fruit growing area of Cromwell, Lindis Pass and the McKenzie Country. Stop for lunch at Mount Cook Village (own arrangements) located at the foot of New Zealand's highest peak Aorangi ( Mount Cook). Flight seeing is highly recommended (own cost) enabling you experience some of the most dramatic alpine and glacier scenery in the world. Continue to Christchurch via Lake Tekapo and the Canterbury Plains. Highlights MOUNT COOK: On arrival your choice to have lunch at a village cafe (own arrangements), or explore the walks in and around the village (1 hour approximate). LAKE TEKAPO: A spectacular sight on clear days of the Southern Alps at the far end of the lake. We recommend a scenic flight from here (own expense).
