Peppers on the Point is a spectacular exclusive lakeside property surrounded by the sparkling waters of Lake Rotorua. Once a Maori Pa site, the retreat is steeped in local history - of ancient battles, love and life – with panoramic views to historic Mokoia Island beyond.

Guests can combine the pleasures of exquisitely furnished accommodation, exceptional food and wine and indulgent spa treatments, all from the luxury of one of New Zealand’s premier Lodges. The charming two-storied Lodge is a converted 1930’s mansion with spacious entertaining rooms, open fireplaces, a timber-panelled dining room and a magnificent timber staircase.

Guests have the choice of 9 exquisitely furnished suites with lounges and spa baths including the 2 private cottage suites within the grounds that have open-air hot tubs. The owner’s residence “Lake Villa” is a 4 bedroom contemporary home open to guests on application.

Fine dining is a speciality of Peppers on the Point. Pre-dinner drinks and canapés are enjoyed around a cosy fire in winter and on the terrace during balmy summer evenings, before guests adjourn to the dining room where a decadent 4 course table d’hote dinner is served.

Linking into Rotorua’s spa heritage, Peppers on the Point includes therapeutic health and wellness treatment rooms and a small guest gym and sauna. Peppers on the Point is also an ideal base from which to explore the rich cultural heritage and geothermal wonders of Rotorua which are within an easy 5 minute reach of the Lodge.
